BELLS FOR PEACE

As a nation we are thankful to God for our country to maintain its culture of democratic process as ensured in the Constitution of our Republic. A general election is the democratic right of all citizens to elect their political representatives. It is against this background that Council of Churches Namibia (CCN) urges all her Member Churches to devote the first week of November 2009 as a NATIONAL PRAYER WEEK FOR PEACE, TOLERANCE AND RECONCILIATION During the national prayer week the CCN are suggesting the following
  • Let each church ring the Church Bells at 06H00 every morning. As Christians we are calling for Peace, Tolerance and Reconciliation.
  • Let us pray together as Christians all over Namibia three times a day for Peace, Tolerance and Reconciliation, at 6:00, 13:00 and 19:00.
  • Let us pray for a culture of Caring, Serving and Love to all God’s People.
  • All our sermons on Sundays and wherever we preach should emphasize the message of Peace, Tolerance and Reconciliation.
