HALLELUJAH NAMIBIA 2014

Camp David Namibia presents a musical concert titled ‘Hallelujah Namibia’ on November 1 at the Hage Geingob stadium.

This first ever praise and worship music concert aims at bringing the country together to give all believers the opportunity to praise and worship.

In the light of what’s happening in our country, all the violence, murder and sexual immorality, we need to stand together and start praying for our country. Despite Namibia’s devastating drought being broken earlier this year, we experience a great spiritual thirst throughout Namibia. We feel it in our hearts that an event of this caliber is the step in the right direction to open the tap and give people from around the country access to the living water Jesus Christ.

Organizer Jacques van Vuuren believes that the event will create an opportunity for everyone, irrespective of their denomination, social standing, gender, political conviction, and race to worship the Lord through music. Music has the ability to unite people in a radical way and release the power of the Holy Spirit to bring awareness, repentance, healing, rejoicing and many other forms of revelation.

Through praise and worship, we can thank the Lord for every blessing. He has so graciously bestowed on our country and on us. All of us involved with Hallelujah Namibia carry the conviction in our hearts that we serve a wonderful and loving God.

Pray for Hallelujah Namibia:
  • Jacques van Vuuren and his team of organizers.
  • A large turn up of worshippers.
  • All the various artists – for God’s anointing.
  • Praise God for sponsorships.
  • Trusting God for a lasting impact.

GLS Namibia 2014 UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL

Leaders have the responsibility of casting the vision and inspiring others to pull together towards a common goal. Those leaders who come to the Global Leadership Summit 2014 (GLS 2014) video cast will be able to see issues more clearly as the teaching unfolds from the variety of excellent speakers who are taking part.

Let us pray that, together with their teams, the leaders will be given the specific tools to assist them in solving their problems and making the important decisions that they are faced with. GLS speaker, Carly Fiorina, said that ‘What you are is God’s gift to you – what you make of yourself is your gift to God. Human potential is the only limitless resource that we have in the world.

May every leader who God is calling to the GLS Namibia 2014 be determined to book their place, if they haven’t already, and given a gift of optimism that this is the start of a new season – a season that will change the order of things and help them to unlock the potential in others.

Please also pray for all the GLS host church teams who will be gearing up for this week-end 17 & 18 October at Ongwediva - Foursquare Church in the North, in Windhoek 24 & 25 October at Inner City Lutheran Church Office [+264 61 229264] as well as 07 & 08 November Agape Ministries International Ludwigsdorf Office: +264 61 259198

SWAPO ELECTORAL COLLEGE 2014

The Swapo Electoral College will take place this week-end. Around 215 delegates and candidates will meet in Windhoek between 29-31 August to decide on the list of Swapo Party members they want to submit as their representatives in the National Assembly, which will be elected during the National Assembly polls in November.

A combined 215 delegates and candidates are expected to attend the gathering to decide who will go into the “pot” as candidates.

All 14 regional structures have now convened their regional conference where they elected two candidates – male and female – that will attend the ruling party’s electoral college here in Windhoek. At this year’s electoral college, the party’s much-lauded 50/50 policy will make its debut, which is seen as a major boost for the female candidates who will be looking to outshine their male counterparts.

Pray for this most important event where it will be decided who will fill most of the seats of the National Assembly after the polls in November.

Here is a suggested prayer for this and other Electoral Colleges and the forthcoming Elections Namibia 2014. (But do pray as the Spirit leads.)

Father God,

We trust You that the upright be chosen
to dwell in our next Government.
We trust You to cause a shaking
so that only those who are complete
and blameless before You will stay.
We pray that You will cut off the wicked,
and that the unfaithful be rooted out.
Will You oh Lord bring to light what is hidden in darkness
and expose the secret aims of the hearts.
We pray that You will raise up a standard in our leaders
and cause the rains of the Spirit to flood this nation,
and that the glory of the Lord will be revealed in Namibia.

In Jesus Name
Amen

PRAY FOR THOSE WITH HEARING LOSS

The incidence of hearing loss and related communication problems in children in Namibia is high. Access to health care can be difficult and the quality of provision can be poor, especially in rural areas. Lack of awareness and irregular treatment of ear infections, insufficient pre-natal care in many rural areas and a high incidence of malaria and meningitis in some parts of the country all contribute.

The Association for Children with Language, Speech and Hearing Impairments of Namibia (CLaSH) works to ensure that the children it represents can access the support they need.

Please pray for with those with language, speech and hearing impairments in Namibia and also for organizations like CLaSH and those in government and education who work to empower these dear souls and open doors for a better life for them.

Pray for:

  • The early identification of children with language, speech and hearing impairments.
  • The best assessment and counselling sessions.
  • Suitable therapy, treatment and availibility of special education.
  • Parents of these children - to understand, assist en encourage.
  • Equal opportunities for children language, speech and hearing impairments in Namibia.
  • Children to understand their challenge and experience God's care and love.
  • Children to understand who they are and accept their true identity in Christ.
Alfie Williams' Prayer for the Deaf

Dear Father God,
Please help all the deaf people in the world,
whether they are mildly deaf or profoundly deaf.
Help them to find a good way to communicate
with others so that they can be
whatever they want to be.
Please also help people to be kind
and caring towards deaf people,
and to understand how difficult it is to be deaf.
Lord in your mercy
Hear our prayer.
AMEN

WATER FOR LIFE

A number of ministries and churches in Namibia are also reaching out to our neighbours – Angola, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. In the coming days Kunene for Christ , a ministry in the Kunene Region of Namibia will continue their work in Angola. Their vision is: All people in the Kunene region must know, worship and serve the Lord Jesus as Redeemer. Kunene for Christ wishes to plant very small congregations which are self-governing, self-sufficient and self-evangelising, to be established with discipleship training of the local leaders. They also have a heart for those across our borders.

In partnership with several churches and ministries in Namibia and South Africa, they are involved in establishing a training facility in the north of Angola at Kikuni. One of the greatest needs in the area is for clean water. As in the rest of Africa, water not fit for human consumption, causes health problems and deaths.

Every 21 seconds, a child dies in the world from a water-related illness

Women of the world spend 200 million hours a day collecting water.

This problem needs to be addressed before progress with the training facility can be made.

Here is the team who discussed the water project in Windhoek. Prof Jurgens Hendriks from the University of Stellenbosch, French Ferreira from Upington (SA), Brian Stokes from George (SA) Clem Marais (DRC Synod Namibia), Willie Coetzee (Kunene for Christ Council), also a representative of IERA in Luanda, and Jacob Schoeman from Kunene for Christ.

This coming week a team will travel to Kikuni to further investigate the issue and work towards a lasting solution. Please pray for -
  • Timely issuing of visas for Angola.
  • Safe traveling.
  • Wisdom in finding the best solution.
  • Good cooperation between all teams.
  • Total dependence on God.
Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and
who it is that asks you for a drink,
you would have asked him and he would have given you living water
John 4:1

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said,
streams of living water will flow from within him.
John 7:38

For the Lamb at the centre of the throne will be their shepherd;
he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes

Being a woman of God has to do with being God’s woman.
Wherever God has placed us, in whatever roles we have,

A woman of God lives in obedience to the Lord,

PREPARING THE CHURCH

Church leaders and congregation members
are invited to a great meeting of the Church in Windhoek.

Sunday Evening 3 August at 6pm
Preparing the Church for the End Times

Church at the Crossroads  – Gateway Conference Centre, Khomasdal.

Pastor, you and members from your church
 are most welcome.
Come for a wonderful time
of  Worship, Prayer and Fellowship.
We are looking forward to seeing you there.

More info: Roy Wallace 0811278867 or 061-220623

The word "church" as rendered in the New Testament comes from the Greek term ekklesia which is formed from two Greek words meaning "an assembly" and "to call out" or "called out ones." In summary, the New Testament church is a body of believers who have been called out from the world by God to live as his people under the authority of Jesus Christ. (See Ephesians 1:22-23)

Pray for this meeting and for the Church in Namibia. Here are some scripture to consider:

His people under the authority of Jesus Christ: And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,  which is his body, the fulness of him who fills everything in every way. Ephesians 1:22-23

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. Acts 1:14

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16

Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:25

Christians are ambassadors for Christ.
They are representatives from Heaven to this dying world.
And because of our presence here, things will change.

Thank you for praying with us. Please continue to pray for those who accepted Christ as Savior and Lord. Pray for the Church in Namibia. This event did a lot to unite churches. Pray that they will follow-up on those who attended Festival of Life. Trust God that Churches and mission organizations will continue to take hands in building God's Kingdom!

Everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.
How, then, can they call
on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one
of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear
without someone preaching to them?
And how can they preach
unless they are sent?
As it is written,
How beautiful are the feet
of those who bring good news!
Romans 10:13-15
