PRAY FOR AFRICA

This morning we found this Africa shaped stone on the beach. Africa should be shaped by God! Let's pray for this continent of which we are part of, this continent from where God called His Son.

So Joseph got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son." Matthew 2:14,15

Lets trust God to use us, his children in Namibia to help shape our country and this continent with our prayers and our actions, "and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." Ephesians 6:15

Remember we serve the King of Kings and we are under His command. Do you obediently and joyfully yield to His authority?

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20

Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6

NAMIBIA AT GLOBAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

This week on 6 and 7 August 2009 leaders from all over the world will gather at Willow Creek for the Global Leadership Summit 2009. In the face of cultural upheaval, economic crisis, and escalating human need our world calls out for leaders who will persevere: who will maintain their character, integrity, and resolve. See http://www.willowcreekglobalsummit.com/

Leaders everywhere have been charged with a high calling. This is a time of great need and great opportunity and we are grateful for a number of government, business and church leaders from Namibia who are attending the summit.
We hold a deep belief that if you change a church leader, you can change a church, and if enough churches start changing, you can change an entire region, country, and eventually the world!

Willow Creek is also delighted to partner with us in Namibia to bring The Global Leadership Summit here to Walvis Bay. Call Charmaine at 064-204027 to book your seat for this DVD-facilitated summit on November 6-7, 2009 today! Seats are running out fast.

Bill Hybels writes: Show me a leader with a growing heart of faith in God and a gradually improving set of leadership skills, and I’ll show you someone who can put the enemy on the run! The fact that we are in a battle is inescapable. The question is, what battle would you rather be in, and who would you rather be in it with? For myself, fighting for the local church and ensuring it achieves its redemptive potential with other Christ-following brothers and sisters is the highest marching order I could ever receive.

Pray for the summit and the Namibians who are there. Trust the Lord that they will return with fire in their hearts. Please pray that every leader in Namibia would take their role seriously, and would arm themselves for the battle around them and live their mission as the Spirit gives grace and power.
