The word "church" as rendered in the New Testament comes from the Greek term ekklesia which is formed from two Greek words meaning "an assembly" and "to call out" or "called out ones." In summary, the New Testament church is a body of believers who have been called out from the world by God to live as his people under the authority of Jesus Christ. (See Ephesians 1:22-23)

Pray for this meeting and for the Church in Namibia. Here are some scripture to consider:

His people under the authority of Jesus Christ: And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,  which is his body, the fulness of him who fills everything in every way. Ephesians 1:22-23

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. Acts 1:14

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16

Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:25

Christians are ambassadors for Christ.
They are representatives from Heaven to this dying world.
And because of our presence here, things will change.

A BLESSING ON NAMIBIA

Last week Joyce Meyer visited Windhoek Namibia for a Leadership Conference and the open air Festival of Life. With her team Hillsong South Africa came to lead believers in worship and praise. Here are some photos of things that happened during her stay.

Hand of Hope

Hand of Hope is the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Our goal is simply to help as many hurting people as we possibly can, to alleviate human suffering and to help Christians grow in their faith.

Prisons in Namibia were visited and gift parcels were handed to all inmates.

Ongoing Feeding Programs of Hand of Hope at pre-schools in Katatura, Namibia were visited

You can also visit Hand of Hope for more photos and news.

Leadership Conference

The Leadership Conference was attended by more that 2500 and was well received.

Festival of Life Namibia 2014

Thousands and thousands of believers attended the two evenings of worship and praise and teaching at the Festival of Life - hosted at the Independence Stadium Windhoek.

Blessing on Namibia

For many the prayer of blessing on Namibia was a highlight at the Festival of Life.

Prayer of Blessings: Click here if you want listen to the prayer of blessings by Joyce Meyer and experience the festival on TBN Namibia. More photos also at TBN Namibia.

Thank you for praying with us. Please continue to pray for those who accepted Christ as Savior and Lord. Pray for the Church in Namibia. This event did a lot to unite churches. Pray that they will follow-up on those who attended Festival of Life. Trust God that Churches and mission organizations will continue to take hands in building God's Kingdom!

Everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.
How, then, can they call
on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one
of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear
without someone preaching to them?
And how can they preach
unless they are sent?
As it is written,
How beautiful are the feet
of those who bring good news!
Romans 10:13-15
