There are around 29 000 visually impaired Namibians.The Electoral Commission of Namibia introduced the Braille ballot template in the 2004 elections and have appointed a visually impaired person to train voters throughout the country. The Electoral Act of 1992 states that every individual Namibian has the right to cast their votes in secret, but those who cannot read Braille may still bring along a friend or a relative to help them cast their votes.Let us pray for those who are visually impaired. Pray that God will strengthen them and that they will come to know Him who is the Light. Pray for family and friends to support the visually impaired and make life for them as comfortable as possible. Continue to pray for the Electoral Commission of Namibia as they prepare for Elections 2009.
