AN EVENING OF PRAYER

The Church in Namibia want to take up the very important role of intercession and work for a peaceful, free and fair election process. All prayer and church leaders in Windhoek are invited to an evening of prayer for the Elections 2009. A strategy for prayers for the elections and how intercessors and churches can participate will be shared.

The main focus of the evening will be to pray for these elections and the National Day of Prayer on 1 November. Believers will also have an opportunity to sign up for a prayer chain that will run through October.

Date: 17 September 2009
Time: 18:00 to 21:00
Venue: Khomas Community Church, Borgward Street, Khomasdal

Please pray that God will prepare the hearts and minds of his children to establish His Kingdom in Namibia. Trust that God will prepare the Church to boldly take up the role of being a prophetic voice by speaking out clearly on issues that relate to the well-being of the nation. Pray that He will empower church leaders to offer godly counsel to all elected officials on matters that will aid nation building.

This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven". Matthew 6:9,10
