Crime in Namibia

The Namibian Newspaper reported that a seventh suspected member of a gang of armed robbers caught in a deadly shootout with the Police in Windhoek on Thursday (3 April 2009) was found hiding in the gambling house five hours after the Police had shot dead two members of the gang, wounded another two and arrested a further two suspects.

Here are issues we can pray for in regards to crime and crime prevention in Namibia:
  • Pray for the safety of our police.
  • Pray for our police officers to have wisdom and divine insight.
  • Pray for our police to get the information they need to get breakthroughs and arrests.
  • Pray that God will intervene in the lives of the criminals.
  • Pray against the main crimes being committed (Home burglaries, business burglaries, attacks on farmers, women and children).
  • Pray against drug related crimes (Especially at schools and night clubs).
  • Pray against crime syndicates (drugs, fraud, theft etc.).
  • Pray against the increase of crime over holiday seasons.
  • Pray and bind the spirit of violence and death in our country.
  • Pray for the victims of crime and their families.
  • Pray that evil and corruption in law-enforcement departments will be exposed at every level.
