It is a land the LORD your God cares for;
the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end. Deuteronomy 11:12
We believe God has called Namibia and it's people for a time like this.
This Blog calls you to join us as we pray for Namibia.
The Amos Meerkat School Project (AMSP) is an initiative by a group of women to train the spouses of farm labourers to become teachers and help their children become school ready. [Amos Agrimin is a Christian, multi-racial, inter-denominational, agricultural organisation, focussing on ministry and the empowerment of the agricultural community of South Africa and Africa.] In Namibia farmers of Amos has started this very special project to make farm children school-ready. A farm worker's wife on the farm who is literate is trained to become the teacher on the farm. The farmer has to supply a room as well as tables and chairs for the learners. They follow a unique syllabus that is Christ-centered. This project has now grown to reach pre-schools every where in the country. For inquiries, please contact the Amos office at 081 148 8993.

The hearts of farm children are won for Christ through teaching them about Jesus in a fun and playful way.
Pray for -
The massive training program currently on the way to equip more teachers.
The plan to roll out this program to start many more pre-schools all over Namibia.
The various partners involved in this project.
The relationship between "the teacher" and the farmer's wife.
The teacher to walk the talk as believer on the farm. That they will set an example and have an influence for Christ among the farm workers.
That the teachers will be able to stand against the many temptations of living a life of solitude on farms.

Amos Namibia Agrimin is a Christian, multi-racial, inter-denominational, agricultural organisation, focussing on ministry and the empowerment of the agricultural community and the transformation of the agricultural community of South Africa and Africa. We have been called to serve.
Amos does not work alone but tries to involve other Kingdom partners (including Christian churches) to help train and develop the agricultural community. We have a strong prayer ministry among farmers in Namibia.
One of the most exciting ministries in Namibia is AMOS. Their vision is to grant everyone in Namibia and Africa who is part of the rural and farming community an opportunity to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to live and farm according to Biblical values and norms.
It is about Living and Farming God’s Way. It’s not a slogan, it’s a lifestyle!
On their website http://www.amosnamibia.com you will find very helpful information about "Farming God's Way". Most of the page is in Afrikaans, by click on the link "Basics" and also read "Testimonies" for material in English and German.
Here is the dream of Farming God's Way: When I look at Africa and agriculture, I don’t see what it is, but what it can become. I don’t see famine, conflict, disease, destruction, chaos and poverty. Not because I close my eyes to the reality that is Africa, but because I look with different eyes – I look with the eyes of faith. I see what Africa and agriculture will look like when God is done with it.
I see what Africa will look like when Living and Farming God’s Way is not merely a slogan, but the lifestyle of millions of agriculturalists across Africa. I see Africa reflecting the greatness, goodness, justice, love and care of the Father at the time ordained by God. I see Africa in a restored relationship with God and how we as people of Africa take hands across all borders. I see God changing the way we as Africans think of our land to bring it in line with His Word.
In Africa we will think anew of the labour we perform each day, and then God will feed Africa by blessing the work of our hands. The Lord will savemillions in Africa in answer to our prayers. He will rejoice over Africa (cf. Zephaniah 3:17).
Pray for AMOS in Namibia and for all in the farming community. Pray that transformation will continue and that this dream will become a reality!
