SON OF MAN
“When
Jesus came to the region of Caesarea
Philippi, he asked his disciples,
“Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
Philippi, he asked his disciples,
“Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
They
replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still
others,
Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
“But what
about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Simon
Peter answered, “You are
the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus
replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah,
for this was not revealed to you
by flesh and blood,
but by my Father in heaven.“
for this was not revealed to you
by flesh and blood,
but by my Father in heaven.“
Matthew 16:13-17
SEEK HIS FACE AND HONOUR HIM:
As the promised Messiah, who
became human so that He could taste death, redeem us from the curse of the law,
and pay the penalty for sin on our behalf.
Honor Him as the One who, through
death, destroyed the devil and all his works and delivered mankind from the
fear of death.
PRAY:
- For the Church [believers everywhere] to realize and receive their freedom from death, sin, and Satan; and to rise up and take their authority over all the works of the devil.
- For the Children of God to take up their responsibility of sharing the Good News with all peoples, in every nation. May God's family in Namibia grow day by day.
- For the world to be set free from the stronghold of lies and arguments that the god of this world raised in their minds against the knowledge of God; for their hearts to be softened and prepared to receive the word of God and be delivered from darkness.
- Shine, Jesus shine, fill this land - Namibia - with the Father's glory!
