In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha which, when translated, is Dorcas, who was always doing good and helping the poor. Acts 9:36 Cornelius stared at him in fear. "What is it, Lord?" he asked. The angel answered, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. Acts 10:4
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. 2Corithians 8:9. Jesus said: The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. Matthew 26:11. I believe one way to know if you have the Lord with you, is to consider what you do about the poor. As you pray for the poor today, ask the Lord what He wants you to do, so that His love can reach the poor and needy this Christmas.You are the light of the world. Matthew 5:14
